Electronic Collection of Air Transportation Statistics

The information collected by Transport Canada under the Electronic Collection of Air Transportation Statistics (ECATS) initiative is being collected pursuant to the Canadian Transportation Act and the Statistics Act. It is the policy of Statistics Canada to provide all respondents with information about the objectives of the survey; the legal authority under which it is taken; the mandatory nature of the survey; the confidentiality provisions of the Statistics Act; and of any data sharing agreements.
